Question:

Would like to install a small unit on the roof of our trailer jockey trucks. See photo. 12V or 24V available or we could install an inverter to get 110V. Do you make a suitable unit?

We have a good solution for you the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Start Capacitor part # ACM135BC would be a great choice. It will require 14"x14" hole to be made in the roof but after that it is straight forward and has everything you will need. The air distribution box has the controls on it to turn it up or down and the start capacitor will help to ensure it doesn't draw too much power when starting it. I would stya with the 13,500 BTU as this is very common on smaller campers and anything bigger might be overkill. You may have to form a spacer on the hole as this will only squeeze down to 2.5" so if the roof isn't that thick you will have to space it out a bit.

You will need the inverter for 110V as these won't run off of 12V. With that kind of rig I don't see that being an issue for you. You can use the Go Power Heavy-Duty Modified Sine Wave Inverter - 1,750 Watts - 12V part # 34280177 to connect to the battery and give you the outlet you need for the ac unit.

How much of a slope is ok for the AC unit to mount? The truck roof slopes about 30 degrees.

I reached out to my contact at Advent Air and he said the steepest slope it should be installed on is a 15 degree angle. The 30 degree slope you're looking at is too much for proper mounting.
