Switch Operation of Marine 2-Position Battery Switch # 277-000403

Question:

Does this switch work by simple turn of the knob or does the knob have to be depressed then turned? I have this switch on my travel trailer and the knob comes off with a little pull very easily and i dont know if it should or not. Also what is the Actuator out position for? Thanks

The Marine 2-Position Battery Switch # 277-000403 only has two positions. On and Off. The knob should not need to be pushed down to turn either. It really shouldn't be coming off either. The actuator out position should be just a momentary switch function that activates but then goes back to off when you release.
