Overall Depth of SolidStep in Stowed Position

Question:

Can you please tell me what the measurement is for the overall depth of the step assembly when it is in the vertical position? Also, can I not purchase an extra step? If not, what would I do if one got damaged?

At it's widest point, including the yellow handle, the SolidStep # LC698799 measures right around 11 inches, as shown in the attached photo.

Replacement steps are not available individually, so if you somehow damaged one of the steps, the entire unit would need to be replaced.
