What are the Dimensions of the Fifth Wheel Trailer King Pin # T809

Question:

The plate that welded to the front crossmembers and into which the 5th wheel pin is welded- is less than 1/2 thick - maybe 3/8inch - and is approx. 3foot wide and 4 1/2foot from the front of the traler back-it also has a 5inch 45 degree bend at the frontThis application is for a 55inch flat bed tractor/trailer combo. I Is there are special metal plate that this is made of ?

What you are describing sounds like a pin box. The part that is angled up would be at the front so when you hitch up to the 5th wheel hitch the skid plate on the hitch and pin box will make contact with each other.

All of these parts are made of steel, like # T809. The upper thickness of T809 is 7/8 inches overall but where it gets welded to the trailer is 1/2 inch thick. I have included a picture that shows the measurements of the king pin for you.
