First, you are going to want to determine the functions of the 5-Way connector on the trailer in order to find a wiring solution that will be compatible. Motorcycles have separate turn signals and brake lights. If the trailer also has separate turn signals and brake lights, making a wiring harness will be easy.
You can just use a 5-Way harness like # HM37908. You will have to wire it to the bike by function to match the function on the trailer 5-Way. Use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to determine the functions of the taillight wires on the bike.
You should have 1 wire for left turn signal, 1 wire for right turn signal, 1 wire for brake lights, and 1 wire for taillights. On harness # HM37908, the exposed pin (white wire) is ground and will attach to the bike frame. The pin next to it (brown wire) is normally for tail lights. Next in line (the yellow wire) is left turn, then right turn (green wire), followed by the blue wire for brake lights.
If the trailer has combined turn signals and brake lights you will need a converter, # 119177KIT. This will take the separate circuits on the motorcycle and combine them for use on the trailer. This is also a powered converter, and it needs to be attached to the positive terminal of the battery.
The green wire is for right turn, yellow is left turn, red is brake lights, brown is taillights, white is ground. The blue wire is for electric brakes on the trailer. If your trailer has electric brakes, then you would also need a time delay brake controller like # 39523 to activate the brakes.
If your trailer is wired differently, let me know and I can make other recommendations.
