To tow a smaller trailer with the 2015 Honda Odyssey you will need a hitch, lock, ball mount, ball and wiring. If the trailer has electric brakes, you will also need a 7-Way plug on the vehicle and a brake controller.
I recommend to use the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76025 on the Odyssey because it will work well to tow the trailer and also give you a clean OEM look. It is a concealed cross tube design so the only part of the hitch that is visible once installed is the receiver. I have attached a video of the install for you to take a look at. I would use etrailer Trailer hitch receiver lock to protect your investments with part # e98882.
You also need Curt Ball Mount part # C45070 which will give you the rise that you need. When we installed the Draw-tite hitch on a 2016 Honda Odyssey it sat about 13 inches from the ground on the vehicle. If your coupler is the standard height of 17" from the bottom of the coupler to the ground you will need the 4" rise of the Curt Ball mount. I do recommend to measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler to make sure you have standard height coupler. If you do not then please let me know the coupler height and I can recommend more parts.
Depending on what size ball you need for the coupler, I recommend part # 63847 for a 2-5/6" ball or part # 63845 for a 2" ball.
If your trailer does not have electric brakes you can simply use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118521 which will illuminate the trailer lights. It easily plugs into the factory connection points in the rear cargo area. I have attached a video of this as well. Please let me know if your trailer has electric brakes and I can recommend additional wiring and a brake controller.
