Is there a Bug Shield That Mounts Over the Chrome Trim on the Hood of a 2012 GMC Sierra 1500

Question:
do the make a bug shield that goes over the chrome on the hood and attached under the rest of the hood. all the ones i see cover up the chrome on the hood. Thanks

The WeatherTech Bug Shield, # WT50162, that you referenced will fit on your 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab, but it will cover the chrome on your hood.
For a bug shield that will not cover the chrome we offer the Husky Liners Bug Shield, # HL07219, which is a protection system made from a urethane film that is designed to help eliminate nicks, dings and bug stains on the hood of your 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab.
This film will install above the chrome on your hood, however, it is not a plastic shield that mounts under your hood, but applies to your hood with an adhesive solution. I have attached the installation instructions for you to check out.
