Unsure if 34inch or 40inch electric fireplace is best for a cabinet measuring 43inch wide in a 2013 Jayco Eagle Premier 5th wheel. What do you recommend?

The correct size will depend on the size of the available opening. The # FF34SW15ABL you mentioned is designed for a cabinet opening of 33-3/16 inches by 17-13/16 tall by 7-3/16 inches deep. The flange or frame around the fireplace measures 33-7/8 by 17-3/4.

The 40 inch, part # FF40SW15ABL needs a cabinet opening of 38-5/16 inches wide, 17-3/4 inches tall and 6-1/4 inches deep.The flange or frame measures 39-7-16 wide by 17-3/4 wide.

You'll want to choose a fireplace that fits the listed rough opening requirements, be it wall or cabinet. You'll also want the frame to be larger than the available opening so the opening is covered.
