How Does The SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box Attach To Roof

Question:
We have a Chevy equinox 2018 and the cargo box is too narrow to attach to rails. We got cross bars, will it attach to those?

The SportRack SkyLine XL Cargo Box - Roof Mount - 18 Cubic Feet part # SR7095 is designed to attach the cross bars not raised rails so attaching it to cross bars is the best and only option. It attaches to round, square, aero, elliptical, and most factory crossbars as long as they are not wider than 4". You cross bar spread also needs to be 23-5/8", 25-7/8", 27-7/8", or 29-7/8". To measure the cross bar spread measure from the center of the front bar to the center of the rear bar. If those measurements are not one of these then drilling new holes in the box would be the only option besides purchasing a different cargo box.
