Question:

Dose this hitch work with factory hitch if not do you have to replace factory hitch with different cross member in order for it to work I ran into that issue on my ram 1500

The Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch # 41952 is a confirmed fit for the 2017 Ram 3500 Cab and Chassis models, but not the actual pickup truck version of this vehicle.

If you have the pickup version of the Ram 3500 with the factory hitch you'll want to use the Curt # C15803 (fits both 6-1/2 ft and 8 ft truck beds) which will sit under your existing factory hitch and does not require any modifications like removing the cross member, as long as you have the factory bumper; this hitch will allow your factory receiver to sit directly above it and provide you with a dual hitch.
