Durable Replacement Faucet Knobs

Published 11/26/2019

Question:

I purchased a total of 4 acrylic Phoenix faucet knobs to replace mine in my bathroom in my manufactured home. The knobs do not last very long. They keep breaking on the inside where they attach to the compression valve. Do you have anything stronger that would fit my faucets? The knobs that I purchased are the #PF 284006

We do have several replacement faucet knobs that will fit, similar to the one you mentioned part # PF284006 . All of the faucets knobs we carry are plastic, so replacement knobs will have the same strength and durability. So if you are not wanting to deal with broken knobs, the best option is to replace the faucet.

The design of the dual handle faucets make it easier to be over tightened and wear down over time. The single handle design has less chance of being over tightened from normal use, as well as a faucet that is not entirely made of plastic.

For a bathroom sink I recommend part # 277-000079. This faucet has a hybrid construction. It's made of Zinc and plastic, definitely more durable and robust than the plastic style. This faucet has a 2 hole installation, but can also be used in a 3 hole faucet set up, and include the deck plate and mounting hardware.
I have attached a video for reference.
