Question:

I haven’t check the fitment yet, but to your knowledge, will the 7-pin adaptor work with the factory installed towing package on my truck? Also, I take the truck through an automatic car wash on a fairly regular basis and I’ve read that several people have had issues with water getting into the system. If true, is there some way for me to prevent that from happening before it gets ruined? Thank you very much.

Based on the replacement 7-way kits we offer for your 2012 Honda Ridgeline like the Tekonsha part # 118253 we can confirm that the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002 does for sure fit your vehicle.

We've had a few people report that water got into the back of the camera and that using an RTV sealant they were able to keep the water out of it going forward. That's what I would recommend for you.
