Everything Works on the Trailer Except for the Running Lights

Question:

I cant get it to work. I even ran a ground wire to the frame. I have a 2008 T&C with the two Prep group. I connected the pig-tail T-harness Mopar gave me and attached this adapter to the end and ran an extra ground. Everything works, with the exception of running lights. What am I doing wrong. Thanks

If the only thing not working is your running lights you are almost there. The running lights are powered through the brown wire on the 4 pole connector. Use a circuit tester and make sure that the prong adjacent to the brown wire, on the 4-way, has power when the running lights are on. If you do not have power there, then your problem is between the taillights and the 4 pole connector, as long as your taillights on the vehicle are working.

If the power is reaching the 4 pole connector you will need to check the 7-way on the vehicle to see if the power is at the proper pole there (see wiring link below). If you have power there with the running lights on, then the problem lies with the trailer and you will need to check the brown wire all the way to the taillights, on both sides. If the problem turns out to be with the Mopar harness, then you can change it out with one of our custom fit harnesses that puts the 4-way inline with the brake lights, see links below.

If your taillights on the van are not working, check the fuse panel for a blown fuse, this may be the whole problem.
