Question:
Will installing a hitch on my 2019 Q5 mean that the hands free sensors won't work anymore? Would really like to have a hitch installed but I don't really want to lose that function.

The Hands-free Liftgate Sensors on your 2019 Audi Q5 will still function with any of the trailer hitches we carry installed, but since you are adding a big piece of steel near the sensors this will limit the area that the sensors pick up your foot movement to directly on either side of the hitch receiver. Out of the Draw-Tite # 76183, Curt # C13331, and EcoHitch # 306-X7397 options I highly recommend the Curt because in our experience their construction is better than the Draw-Tite and it is much more cost-effective than the EcoHitch.
I am attaching an installation video of the Curt trailer hitch that you can reference as well as some photos for you to check out. If you jump to the 2:05 minute mark in the video you can actually see our installer demonstrating how the liftgate still works with the trailer hitch installed.
If you let me know what you plan on using the trailer hitch for I can make additional recommendations for you.
