Is there any type of trailer hitch for a 2020 Chevy Equinox that fits in the same spot as the factory hitch, which is to say, high up on the vehicle?

That's a good question, and the answer is that aftermarket hitches for a 2020 Chevy Equinox do sit a little lower than the factory trailer hitches, but not by a whole lot. The aftermarket hitches sit just under the bumper while the OEM hitch is up a little higher.
The best trailer hitches for your 2020 Equinox are from Draw-Tite, and the right one will depend on the engine of your Equinox. The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76419 is for NON-diesel engines while the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76217 is a fit for an Equinox WITH a diesel engine.
