Does Draw-Tite Hitch Receiver Lock Have a Weight Capacity

What is the load limit for this item, by that I mean trailer weight and tongue weight.

Hitch receiver locks such as the Draw-Tite Hitch Receiver Lock - Extra Long - Flush Design # BD580412 don't actually have a specific weight capacity so they can be used for whatever capacity your other equipment is rated for. The reason for this is because the lock is positioned inside the hitch, which means the downward force of the tongue weight isn't on the lock, it is on the ball mount, hitch ball, receiver and coupler. This is why no trailer hitch locks or trailer hitch pins are rated for specific weights.
