Question:
I looked up the hitches you sell for my 2012 Lincoln MKT. I know the MKT is based on the Ford Flex chassis and indeed the Ford Flex is what is shown in the installation video for this hitch. My question concerns whether this is the right hitch. The Flex has dual exhausts routed to the left side of the vehicle while the MKT has dual exhausts one left and one right. Which hitch do I need. I prefer one that is hidden as much as possible and is bolt on. This will be used for nothing heavier than a small utility trailer or boat trailer well under the GVW limits of the car.

The Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75679, will indeed fit the 2012 Lincoln MKT. The fact that the vehicle has left and right side dual exhaust is covered in the instructions which I have linked for you to view. The hitch cross tubing and receiver will be visible below the rear fascia of the vehicle once installed. I have also included a link to a video that shows a typical installation for you.
I also recommend the etrailer ball mount kit, # 989900, which comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag. For trailer wiring, use # C56095. I have included a link to the installation instructions for the wiring as well.
