Will Linxup 300-AT3-S GPS Tracking Device Work on a 31 Foot Boat

Question:

Would this unit work on a boat? I have a 31 ft. That I would like to put one o f these units on. The boat has a metal awning over it that is approx. 18 ft. High. Thanks
