For your 2011 GMC Sierra 2500 HD you need the Westin Sportsman Grille Guard # 45-3660 as the part # 40-1245 you referenced fits older 2500 and 3500 HD models. The part that fits is only offered in stainless steel at this time because the black version, part 40-3665, is no longer available.
If you'd rather go with a black powder coat steel option then we do have the HDX model available as part # 57-3665. This is basically the Sportsman grille guard but with a beefier look.
