The SportRack Vista XL Roof Mounted Cargo Box, # SR7018, will attach to the factory crossbars on your 2008 CRV using the supplied U-bolts providing that the cross bars are not more than 4 inches in diameter. The factory crossbars will also need to be 25-7/8", 27-7/8", or 29-7/8" apart on center. You should also consult your owners manual to determine the weight capacity of the roof rack on your CRV.
You might also take a look at the Tire-mount Wheel step, part # PT68ZR. This device hangs on your tire to provide a step that makes loading and unloading that cargo box much easier.
