Since the factory crossbars of your 2001 Nissan Xterra are much thicker than standard crossbars you'll have to install a roof rack to the roof of the vehicle so that you can carry the Rhino Rack Carrier part # S512-S512X that you referenced. For that we have the very economical, solid, and easy to use Malone rack part # MPG201 which will easily solve that problem!

There are no carriers that will fit your bars directly since they are so much larger than typical.

Jameson - thank you. Do you sell a 2-kayak rack that fits the 2001 Nissan Xterra crossbars? I’m just looking for a good device to bolt on to the existing roof rack.
