Can Weight Distribution be Used with GM Nivomat Shocks that Adjust While Towing
Published 09/18/2019 >
Question:
I understand the principle of letting an automatic air adjusting shock adjust before setting up the hitch. However, if I am reading it right, the GM Nivomat no air self adjusts as the vehicle moves. Does this change the procedure for setting up the hitch? Your help is greatly appreciated.

You are correct and the GM Nivomat shocks to adjust as you are driving but when we have spoken with our weight distribution systems like Reese # RP66084 that you referenced they have told us that as long as you let it settle before installing the spring bars and setting up the spring bar tension you will be best served by the WD system. It will still make adjustments as you drive, but it will still work great overall and improve your towing experience.
