Curt Bracket Kit to Install Fifth Wheel Rails in 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD

Question:

I recently purchased a Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider second hand and it came with the base rails and some mounting hardware. All I can tell about the base rails are that they have CMI stamped on them, but I cannot find any other model information. The gentleman I purchased it from used it on a Dodge 2500 and I will be installing it on a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with the standard bed. Im trying to figure out if the included hardware is all that I will need to install it in my truck or if additional hardware is necessary. I will attach photos of the hitch attached to the rails, just the rails, and just the mounting hardware I received. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Thanks for the picture of the hardware you received with your hitch and rail kit. From looking at them I can tell that the previous customer left the brackets that hold the rails attached to the truck frame and basically just unbolted the rails from them and gave you the hardware that was used there. But since your rails are stamped CMI we know that they are Curt and we can help!

So what you need is a bracket kit to attach the rails to your 2003 Chevy Silverado frame. The best solution is a custom bracket kit like part # C16418 which will install the easiest and quickest as it does not require frame drilling. This comes with new bolts and spacers like what you have pictured, but since these bolts are one time use you'd want to use the new ones and not reuse what you have now.

I attached an install video for this rail kit for you to check out as well.
