Will the Front Hitch for a 2016 Toyota 4Runner Reduce Ground Clearance
Published 09/16/2019 >
Question:
Do I lose existing front ground clearance using the front mount receiver hitch? I currently run a Warn 10000 winch on my Sequoia via receiver hitches and plan on doing the same with my 4Runner. Thanks.

The only place to install a front mount hitch on your 2016 Toyota 4Runner is under the front bumper fascia which means you will lose a bit of ground clearance. That said, the hitch will be pretty much level with the belly pan so this can also be viewed as a piece of protection for both the front bumper fascia and the engine oil pan which would have far greater consequence if damaged than the trailer hitch. It could also be an excuse for a lift kit as well.
The Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65074 which is a fit for your 4Runner installs closest to the underside of the bumper therefore will offer the most amount of ground clearance so this is what I recommend you use. I have attached an install photo for you as well.
