Can this particular wiring be used for the 2012 MDX as well? I noticed on another site that this part # was recommended for 2012. Thoughts?

Yes, we do have the Tow Ready trailer wiring harness, # 118424, listed as a fit for a 2012 Acura MDX. You can also use Curt wiring harness # C56038. I have included a link to the installation instructions and a video showing a typical installation of the Tow Ready harness for you.
