8 inch Drop Diversi-Tech Ball Mount Recommendation for a 2011 Toyota Tacoma TRD

Question:
I have a Curt 6inch ball mount on my 2011 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport double cab truck. I still need about another inch of to make my trailer tongue level. Considering the thickness of the ball carrier piece on this ball mount, do you thing the 8inch would be right for my truck? If it isnt, will I be able to exchange it?

Ball mount drop is measured from the top of the shank of the ball mount to the top of the ball mount platform. See attached picture. If you need 7 inches of drop from a ball mount the Diversi-Tech Ball Mount # DTALBM6825-3S would be adequate as it is adjustable all the way down to a 8 inch drop.
