Can Atwood RV AC Unit Replace Coleman Unit and Does it Come with Everything Needed

Question:

I currently have a ducted Coleman Mach 8 air conditioner in the front bay of a 5th wheel. The attached thermostat only controls the air conditioner and not a furnace. I would like to replace it with the Atwood AT15028-22 to gain the heat pump functions. I was wondering 1 if the thermostat is compatible with the Atwood 2 if the Atwood would need a different ceiling vent than the Mach 8 to function properly and 3 if there are any additional parts necessary other than the roof unit to do the swap. Thanks

The Atwood Air Command Rooftop RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump # AT15028-22 includes a vent assembly and thermostat that it would need to use when installing in your RV. You would not be able to reuse the Coleman vent and thermostat assembly. This kit does come with everything needed to complete the install though so nothing else would be needed. It does have the heat pump like you are wanting as well.
