The best hitch to carry GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier # H00604 on the 2014 Ford Focus is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75670 because it provides about a 1/4" more ground clearance then the other hitches. The 1/4" more of ground clearance is important when carrying a cargo carrier like the GearDeck 17 or a bike rack because it is less likely to scrape the ground while backing down a hill or other low ground clearance situations.
The wiring you need is T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118599 which will give you a 4-pole flat to plug the Transporter into to illuminate the lights.
