Hi, you recommended Tekonsha kit part # 118482 for the 2018 PHEV Outlander. How come it says Outlander - excluding PHEV modelsinch under the description of the wiring?

I do have an option for you but the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118482 is not a fit for the hybrid versions of the Outlander.

I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit part # 119250KIT which is the only option available for the Hybrid Outlander that does not require splicing into the wiring. The ZCI connections clamp onto your OEM tail light wiring during installation. I have attached an installation video for your reference on an Audi which is a different vehicle but the installation will be very similar.

If you do not have a trailer hitch for the Outlander PHEV, I recommend EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7379 because it is completely hidden under the Outlander when not in use because the receiver is removable.
