Finding Install Holes on 2007 Volvo S80 to Install Curt Hitch 12287

Question:

when looking under my volvo 2007 s80 im not finding the holes for the four bolts..are they behind the heat cover or what ever its called.thanks

When you install the Curt hitch part # C12287 on your 2007 Volvo S80 the heat shield actually gets bent back to allow the hitch to access the install hardware and then gets bent back into place once the hitch is installed.

The plastic nuts of the heat shield get removed which allows it to be bent back and then once the hitch is installed the nuts get reinstalled.
