Question:
2019 Honda Fit What is the difference between a tow bar with and without a cross bar? I did not think to ask this when I ordered the part with Greg Ss help. When it arrived, I saw the base plate and cross bar and wondered why would I want that extra ? piece. Thanks,

Roadmaster makes two different style of base plate kits that fit your 2019 Honda Fit. The crossbar style part # RM-521571-4 and the direct connect style part # RM-521571-5 that does not use a crossbar.
It's really a preference thing as they both work really well. The direct connect kit has one less thing to install when connecting since it does not require the crossbar and in general is a bit easier and simpler to use so it's what I prefer. The crossbar style is a style that Roadmaster has been making for a very long time so it's a tried and true setup that will work well too.
I checked your order notes and it looks like you ordered the crossbar style.
The Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain part # RM-522 comes with the crossbar so it would be all you'd need. So what you have is a really solid setup.
