Can Suspension Kit # APT4 Be Used on Trailer with 3 inch Shackles
Published 08/07/2019 >
Question:
Have a Star-lite flatbed equipment trailer, tandem 5K axles. I thought the straps to the springs were 3inch center to center hole. But could have measured wrong. Thoughts.

Expert Reply:
3 inch long trailer suspension shackles is a pretty common size although it is longer than most. The hanger/equalizer kit part # APT4 includes shackles which are 2-5/8 inches in length. This is a much more common size and would work well on your trailer. The size difference would not matter since you are replacing all of the components anyway.
