7-Way to 5-Way Adapter for Honda Ridgeline to Tow Trailer with 5-Way and Surge Brakes

Question:
looks like the ridgline has 7 pin round and the trailer has 5 pin flat w surge breaks. do I need anything more than the adopter? I see wiring harnesses and connectors but cant figure out why I would need them. its my fishing buddies new Ridgeline, so dont want to mess things up.thanks.

Since the Ridgeline has a 7-way connector already the only thing you need to connect it to the boat trailer with a 5-way is the adapter part # A75TB. All of the needed circuits will be present once this is installed so there would be no need to install any wiring harnesses.
