I am having trouble locating the connection points for my trailer harness on a 2012 Range Rover HSE sport.

That's because for your 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Sport HSE there isn't a plug and play style of trailer wiring connector for your vehicle. You'll have to hardwire in a trailer wiring kit like with the ZCI part # 119250KIT which actually uses sensors to connect to your taillight wiring so you don't have to splice into the wiring at all.
The part # 118624 that you referenced fits the Evoque models which are different from what you have.
