Since you have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata it may be that you do not have the paperwork, which normally details where your car was assembled (it will say something like "Assembly Point"). Due to this, in order to determine where your Sonata was assembled you will need to locate your VIN and contact your local Hyundai dealer who will be able to give you that information.
If your '12 Sonata was assembled in America then both the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24965 and Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11025 will fit your car (both the non-Hybrid and Hybrid models). I have added a links to video installs of these hitches on a Sonata for you to take a look at.
