Solution for Carrying Roof Cargo Bag on Roof of 2017 Nissan Altima with Roof Rack

Question:
Hello, my family and I will be taking a trip in a couple weeks and really wanted a roof bag to free up some room in the car. My car 2017 Nissan Altima has a naked roof and a sunroof so we purchased some removable cross racks but we are still trying to decide on a roof bag. Im starting to wonder now if a bag would be able to be strapped tight enough to the cross racks to keep it from sliding from side to side around turns!? Or should we just chance a smaller bag directly on top of the car roof and try to stay back away from the sunroof? Any information or advice you could give me would help a lot! Since you have a sunroof we don't really like to recommend resting a roof cargo bag directly on your roof. So instead your best option would be a roof cargo basket attached to your roof rack so that you can attach a bag like the Rightline part # RL100S50 to it.
For a basket you could then use the part # SR9035 which would work well for this application and would give you a much more secure setup than attaching a cargo bag to just crossbars.
