Question:
The picture for 3062-P installation on Subaru Ascent 2019 looks great, but Im having trouble finding that adapter/connector plug. I have the Touring level. Is it bundled/taped/wrapped or should I see a white adapter plug ready to plug into? A closer in picture might help. Also did you have to remove the plastic molding etc in order to release/free the adapter? Another customer put his brake controller inside the door to the fuse panel near drivers left knee. Im planning to put mine in the pocket in the dash thats directly behind the left/right turn signal arm/switch. I do not plan to mount it the normal way. Instead, Im using a FLEX mat that holds its shape but is still bendable. It doesnt get bothered by heat 95 this week in Idaho. And I can still access the manual lever below the unit. Finally, the trailer hitch assembly included a cord for the brake controller, with a fuse on the blue line. Does yours include a fuse protection? Thanks

According to the instructions for the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3062-P for your Prodigy P3 # 90195 the plug should be located up under your driver's side dash by the left side kick panel (see attached photo).
The wring adapter doesn't come with a fuse as it has a ground wire and the OEM factory tow package wiring should be protected. If you didn't have factory tow package wiring then you need to hardwire the P3 in and you would use a 30A circuit breaker from the battery to the black wire on the controller.
If you are still having trouble with the installation please let me know what other parts you are using and if your 2019 Subaru Ascent came with a factory tow package or not.
