Be sure that the included ground ring terminal is tightly affixed to a clean bare metal spot on the vehicle. It is never a bad idea to apply a bit of sandpaper to the grounding point to expose clean bare metal; do this before you apply the included dielectric grease which provides a barrier against corrosion.
