Thule RideAlong Mini Child Bike Seat part # TH100104 has a weight limit of 33 lbs. It is designed for children 9 months to 3 years old, however it is recommended to consult the pediatrician before carrying a child under 1 year old.
The pad you referenced part # TH100404 is basically just to replace an old worn out existing pad or to replace the original black pad with a nicer purple or gray color. You can also switch out the original for a light gray and orange pad part # TH100403 if you'd like.
We do carry a Thule RideAlong part # TH100107 for older children 9 months to 6 years but it goes on the back of your bicycle. It can handle 48.5 lbs.
