Question:
Honda is putting on 11/4inch trailer hitch for me. I am asking Honda to install the Thule Helium Pro 2 bike carrier? Not certain that they will, but are there other installation places that I could have the bike carrier put on? Is there additional equipment I need to purchase?

There is not really a need to have the Thule Helium Pro 2 Bike Rack part # TH9042PRO installed by a professional. It really is just as easy as sliding the bike rack shank into the hitch and turning the knob on the bike rack until its snug. Putting the bike rack into the hitch is a tool free installation that anyone can do as long as you can lift 19 lbs about a foot to slide the bike rack into the hitch. There is not any additional equipment needed because all of the locks are included with the rack.
Most bike racks that do not include the tightening knob can just be put into the hitch and locked with a locking pin through the hitch. Hitch bike racks are made to be convenient, easily removed and placed into storage when bike riding season is over.
