Yes, the Furrion 30" Electric Fireplace # F30SW15ABL referenced in your question is designed to be installed flush against the wall into a recessed opening. The thin trim border on the unit will still extends out from the wall (maybe about a 1/8 of an inch). The fireplace will require a rough opening of 25-5/16 inches wide, 15-13/16 inches tall, and 6-1/4 inches deep.
