Gaining Additional Bed Rail Clearance with Bulldog BX1 Gooseneck Coupler Inner Tube
Question:
Just out of curiosity, can i drill another set of holes 2-3inch higher up on it to get more clearance from the truck bed? Itd still be in the tube 5-6 inches.

I do not recommend drilling another set of holes into the Bulldog BX1 Gooseneck Coupler Inner Tube # BD1289050300. Doing this would void the manufacturer's warranty and it may also negatively affect the tube's integrity which could lead to damage down the line.
I am not sure what model gooseneck hitch you have installed on your truck but another option to add a bit of clearance is to replace the existing gooseneck ball with one that has a rise. For example if you happen to have the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch you could use the High-Rise Ball # BWGNXA2050 that provides 1 inch of additional height.
If you can tell me what model hitch you have I will be happy to see if we have something like this available.
