I believe you are asking how to adjust the settings for the Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller # 39510. If this is the case then you will want to start by hooking up to the trailer and setting the power knob to the 12 o'clock position. Take the trailer out for a short and slow test drive on a flat surface and apply the manual override on the controller. If the trailer brakes lock up, turn the power knob down. If the braking was not sufficient, turn the knob up. You will simply repeat this process until you have experienced comfortable braking with the manual override.
Then with the power set you will want to fine tune your braking using the level knob on the other side of the controller. You're basically going to repeat the same process as above but use the brake pedal instead of the manual override and adjust the level knob instead of the power knob until the desired braking is achieved.
