Is the Curt T-Connector C55362 Correct for a 2003 Nissan Frontier

Purchased Curt 55362 custom wiring harness. plugged in to my nissan wiring,Im getting various outputs when turning signal lights and brake lights,only the left signal will work,sometimes the brake lights work,then a minute later the left signal wont come on! Its NOT a grounding problem,I wanted to eliminate that issue,so I ran a new wire from the negative terminal on battery directly to the ground terminal for new harness. Then took my brand new trailer lights and wired them to the same ground with new wire as well. Problem is strange,different results minute to minute. Any suggestions?

This issue you are having with the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C55362 sounds like there is too much power being pushed though the circuit according to my contact at Curt. We have also had similar issues with this wiring harness before as well on a 2003 Nissan Frontier. Therefore, the best option for you would be to use the Curt Upgraded Circuit Protected Powered Tail Light Converter part # C56496 instead which is powered so you don't have to worry about overloading the taillight circuits.
According to Curt, the Curt Upgraded Circuit Protected Powered Tail Light Converter part # C56496 is what they recommend for a 2003 Nissan Frontier.

Hello, Similar issue but not quite... I used this connector (Item # C55362) to wire lights (tail, brake, signal and backup) for a flatbed on a 1998 Nissan Frontier. I wired the tail lights with a pigtail for a 4 pole trailer connection. The truck bed lights work fine (Item # STL68RB) however when I connect a trailer the entire circuit goes dark. Everything checks out at the connector end and the trailer works on another vehicle. Are the trailer lights pulling to much amperage possibly? Looking for options. Thanks!
