What If My Shackle Straps Are Different Lengths Than The Lippert Never Fail Upgrade Kit LC281285

Question:
After some research on upgrade my tandom axle car hauler, i ordered part # 281285 never fail kit, width of bushings and bolts are fine, but shackle strap length options are either shorter or longer than oem ones, which is better to use?

The correct length of shackle strap to use on your trailer will be based off of the leaf spring length as well as the equalizer dimensions. I recommend you use the same length that your trailer came with unless you replace the leaf springs with a different length or you change out the equalizers for ones that have different dimensions.
That said, there really isn't anything special about the shackle straps included with the Never Fail Tandem Axle Suspension Upgrade Hardware Kit part # LC281285 so you should be able to reuse the ones you have now without issues. If you would like to replace these as well then please provide me with the eye to eye measurement of each length so I can make sure you get the correct replacements.
