Just installed a Hopkins smart hitch. Everything works fine except about every 5 seconds the monitor flickers.

It sounds like you may have some debris in one of the connectors for the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002. Try disconnecting the connector for your monitor as well as the 7-Way tee and double check to make sure that everything is clean and free of any foreign pieces.
If everything looks good but your monitor is still flickering then you would want to utilize the 1-year limited warranty that comes with the unit. You would either need to contact the company you purchased the unit from or Hopkins directly for that.
