The AN519 Jensen antenna will be attached to the side of a Gulfstream Vintage Cruiser 17RWD travel trailer with fiberglass sides. Will the supplied rubber washer for the AN519 antenna be sufficient for weather proof installation or should caulk be used instead? If it can be used, does the smooth side of the rubber washer go against the antenna base or the side of the travel trailer?

The Jensen Antenna - Rooftop or Side Mount # AN519 comes with the mounting hardware and the seal. I recommend using Loctite RTV 598 High-Performance Silicone Gasket Maker - Black - 2.7-Fl Oz Tube # LT37467 to ensure you don't have any moisture entering at the mounting hole locations. It is not required by the manufacturer, but better safe and plan for extreme moisture than have to deal with water damage should a seal fail.
