Will any Reese 5th wheel hitch work with Fords factory installed 5th wheel prep kit

The Ford 5th wheel prep kit is designed to be used with the Reese M5 Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches, like part # RP30921.

You can install an above bed fifth-wheel hitch that fits into standard above bed rails, like part # RP30928, in the Ford 5th wheel prep kit, with the addition of an adapter, # RP30156. Most standard fifth-wheel hitches will work in this adapter, as long as the tab spacing on the fifth-wheel legs is 20-5/8 inches or 29 inches on center, see photo link.
