How to Pick Out Stem Length for Mounting Yakima SpareTime Bike Rack

Question:

Bought a used Spare Time for a 2002 RAV4. All of the parts were supposed to be there, but they were not. Need locking cable, and mounting plate, adapter plate, and stem. Question is: What size stem do we need to buy? Thank you!

The correct stem to use is based on the tire width on the vehicle.

P195 - P235: Use short Tongue (Pre-Installed) # 8890242
P235 - P275: Use Medium Tongue # 8890246
P285 - 12.5”: Use Long Tongue # 8890241
