The Pilot Aluminum Universal Side Step Bar # AS-400 installs on the rocker panel of your 2002 Ford Ranger Edge Extended Cab. Since it is a universal step there aren't any generic instructions but you just use the included hardware to install the step. The distance between the mounts is 12" so you will just need to find a suitable place for the installation.
For something a similar step that has a custom mounting application I recommend the Carr Custom-Fit Side Steps # CARR104992. I have attached the installation instructions for you to check out.
